Queen City Jiu Jitsu

Located about 30 minutes from central Charlotte you will find Queen City Jiu Jitsu. Queen City is a Pedro Sauer affiliated school which is amongst the most respected affiliations in the world.

QCJJ focuses purely on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and does not offer other martial arts programs. QCJJ also has a kids program for parents looking to train with their children or just to have their children train.

Renzo Gracie Charlotte

Renzo Gracie is one of the largest and most celebrated affiliations in the sport of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The Renzo’s located in south Charlotte lives up to the Renzo Gracie name.

The academy offers 6 adult jiu jitsu classes per week, 3 in the gi and 3 without the gi. RGC also offers a nogi MMA class a few times per week as well. RGC also had a kids class for kids under 15 years of age. New members can take their first class free.

Charlotte Jiu Jitsu Academy

Located in the heart of Charlotte is Charlotte Jiu Jitsu Academy. The school focuses just on jiu jitsu and does not offer any other martial arts. Members have access to a whopping 18 classes per week, with two in the morning and two in the evening Monday thru Thursday.

CJJA does not offer kids classes and only caters to adults looking to train in BJJ. Because the school is so centrally located, it may be the ideal location for anyone who lives in the city center.

FTW Charlotte emphasizes the Gracie school of self-defense. Located over the border in Fort Mill, South Carolina is Great Grappling BJJ. GGBJJ has a huge team of jiu jitsu instructors to serve members in the multitude of classes they offer. They offer gi and nogi classes which are subdivided into beginners, advanced and sparring classes. GGBJJ also offers a women’s curriculum for women only classes.
